Chief Executive Officer / Director
Michael Power is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of EmPower Alternatives Inc., bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in bulk fuel and petroleum systems across Western Canada, Alaska, and the United States. Known for his strategic vision, operational strength, people-centric leadership style, and integrity. Michael is a respected industry leader with a strong track record of building reliable, high-performing operations.
Throughout his career, Michael has held senior executive roles including Vice President and Director of Supply & Logistics, overseeing complex fuel supply networks, multimillion-dollar budgets, and large cross-functional teams. He has led organizational growth initiatives, strengthened supplier and customer partnerships, and implemented systems that improve efficiency, profitability, and long-term stability.
Grounded by hands-on experience in mining, petroleum systems, and equipment operations, Michael brings a practical understanding of field operations alongside strategic leadership. As CEO of EmPower Alternatives Inc., he leads with integrity and a clear focus on safety, service excellence, and delivering dependable, transparent fuel solutions for customers.
Dane Ganson
Chief Operating Officer / Director
Dane Ganson is a seasoned operations and logistics leader with more than 20 years of experience across transportation, fuel distribution, and regional operations throughout Western Canada. Known for his steady leadership style and solutions-focused approach, Dane brings strong operational insight and a commitment to customer service.
Dane began his career in field operations as an owner-operator and professional driver, developing a practical understanding of transportation logistics and equipment management. He later transitioned into the energy sector, supporting dispatch, driver coordination, and complex logistics in high-demand environments.
Dane advanced through progressive leadership roles, including Operations Supervisor and Area Manager, directing regional operations, coordinating fleet management, and ensuring excellence in service delivery. He then leveraged this experience in a strategic account position, where he built strong corporate client relationships and drove service reliability across long-term partnerships.
